A LETTER FROM MY STUDIO

September 2026

Dear Collector,

I’m writing to you from my studio.

After a summer of travelling, research and returning to the work, I’ve found myself thinking again about what it means to make a painting, and what happens when a work leaves the studio and enters someone’s life.

An artwork begins long before it enters someone’s life.

It begins with an impulse, an image, a feeling, a transmission. It moves through inspiration, experimentation and the physical act of painting. Through this Sacred Act, the work takes form, transforms and eventually asks to be released.

When it enters another person’s life, the journey continues.

This movement from inspiration to creation, from creation to release, and from release into another life is at the heart of my practice.

My studio is rarely quiet. There are paintings leaning against walls, works on paper spread across tables, sketchbooks open beside materials, fragments of research, books and images gathered from different places. Sometimes the work begins with an idea. Sometimes it begins with colour, a gesture, a piece of material, or something I have encountered somewhere in the world.

This is where the work develops.

At the moment, there is a great deal happening.

La Divina Commediahas recently come to completion, a body of work developed through my research into Dante, Italian art history, sacred imagery and my own Italian lineage. The works will be presented in London this October.

Alongside this, I am beginning to open a new chapter with MITOLOGIA, a new body of work exploring mythology, devotion, symbolism and the continuing presence of the sacred within contemporary painting.

And then there are the works already living in the studio, paintings and works on paper from previous bodies of work, each carrying its own history.

I’ve begun making more of these works available directly, and I wanted to create a more personal way of sharing them with you.

From now on, A Letter from My Studio will be a place where I can share what I’m working on, what I’m researching, works becoming available, studio discoveries and invitations before they are widely announced.

A private invitation

My practice is also supported privately through the Patron Circle, a small, invitation led structure for collectors and patrons who wish to invest more deeply in the development of my artistic practice.

There are four levels of patronage, offering increasingly intimate access to the studio, works in progress, new releases and the wider evolution of my practice.

The Patron Circle is intentionally private, with access to the Patron page reserved for serious patrons wishing to invest in the practice.

If you would like to enquire about the Patron Circle, you are welcome to contact me directly.

From time to time, I’ll also share works that are currently available to collect, including paintings and works on paper from earlier bodies of work.

If you see something that speaks to you, or if you would simply like to know more about a particular work, you are very welcome to reply to this letter or send me a message.

I’m always happy to have a conversation about the work, whether you are beginning to collect, considering a particular piece, or simply curious about the process behind it.
