The Tarot series of paintings engages the symbolic structure of the Tarot through the archetypal figures of the Major Arcana. Drawing from the artist’s ongoing practice of Tarot reading, the works approach the cards as a visual language through which questions of transformation, shadow and light, and human agency are explored. Balancing intentional structure with improvisational gesture, each painting functions as an invocation of an archetypal presence, allowing colour, material, and chance to participate in the unfolding of symbolic form.
