Cristallina Fischetti

b. 1984, London, UK is best known for abstract works which are a fusion of vibrant colours and gestural movements. Fischetti draws on her South American (Colombia/ Quichua) and Italian (Sicily/ Rome) heritage to create paintings, murals, installations and works on paper. Using a soak-staining method to apply paint to unprimed canvas, paper or linen laid out upon the floor, the resulting works resonate with the movement, energy and spontaneity used to create them.

Fischetti draws on her Shamanic birthright to conduct her life and work in accordance with the principles expressed in the philosophy of Paulo Coehlo, the teachings of Joseph Campbell and the psychology of Carl Jung.

Fischetti studied at the University of Leeds 2006, London College of Fashion 2010, and Chelsea College of Arts 2019. She was represented by Grove Square Galleries, London (until Sept, 2022) Her work can be found in the collections of MONA, New York, the San Diego Institute, San Diego, and Yue Hu Museum, Shanghai. Fischetti has been awarded multiple grants, awards and commissions; these include a project for British Airways First Magazine, the coveted Visa for 'Artist of Extraordinary Talent' and B1 Visa by the U.S. Government.

Fischetti is an audio presenter and producer. She founded the podcast HYPE A in May 2022. She provides alternative healing under Abstract Medicine, since 2019 and continues to exhibit globally.

To whom it may concern

I write in support of Cristallina Fischetti. I have know her for 20 years initially as a student under my tutelage and since as a professional dedicated and accomplished painter who has continued to develop and extend the art of Abstract painting into realms of the spiritual opening new doors to the practice and pursuit of an art which has meaning, beauty and consequence. Her absorption with colour and management of her formal vocabulary is outstanding. The poetry she engenders represents a path upon which she can continue for many years. Her talent is outstanding. She will continue her work into new and exciting areas for many years .She is academically aware into the history of her subject and develops her practice through podcasts and spiritual teachings which gives an extra dimension to the context of her work Personally she is quiet with a sharp wit and humour, kind understanding and dedicated to friends family and the community of artists she is part of I highly recommend her
