Cristallina Fischetti
(b. 1984, London) is a prominent British-Italian-Colombian multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores ritual, transformation and expanded states of perception through painting, sculpture and installation.
Working across abstraction and symbolic imagery, Fischetti draws on alchemy, mythology, tarot, sacred iconography and classical traditions to investigate the relationship between the material and the metaphysical. Her practice is also spiritually guided by her ancestor, the Neapolitan painter Fedele Fischetti (1732–1790), whose legacy forms part of her ongoing exploration of artistic lineage, sacred imagery and the transmission of creative knowledge across generations.
Her practice has developed through a series of interconnected bodies of work exploring transformation, archetype and the sacred. ALCHEMEA, a cycle of 33 paintings, draws on the symbolic stages of alchemical transformation. La Divina Commedia takes inspiration from Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, moving through the realms of Inferno, Purgatorioand Paradiso while examining transformation, mortality and transcendence.
In 2026, Fischetti began MITOLOGIA, a new body of work bringing together classical mythology, sacred imagery and contemporary abstraction. The series considers the enduring power of archetypal figures and devotional images, reimagining them through a contemporary painterly language. These works operate as contemporary icons and altar-like objects, exploring the space between cultural memory, personal mythology and collective symbolism.
Fischetti studied Fine Art at the University of Leeds and Chelsea College of Arts, London. She has lived and worked in Los Angeles, where she was commissioned by the City of Los Angeles, and has undertaken commissioned projects including work for British Airways First Magazine.
Her work has been exhibited internationally and featured in publications including The New York Times, The Art Newspaper, Elephant Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar and FAD Magazine. Her multidisciplinary practice encompasses painting, installation, sculptural gesture and works on paper.
Alongside her studio practice, Fischetti hosts the podcast Hype-A and runs the spiritual practice Abstract Medicine, exploring conversations around consciousness, creativity and intuitive knowledge.
